The Timmins Public Library offers specialized services and partnership opportunities to local educators and organizations in an effort to promote literacy and foster a love of reading in our community.
Institutional Memberships
An Institutional Membership card provides staff members of local organizations with access to the Timmins Public Library’s collections, in support of their work. Check out up to 60 items at a time with an extended loan period of 4 weeks.
No late fees will be charged; however, organizations will be charged for lost or damaged material. Items that cannot be accessed on this card include bestsellers, interlibrary loans and eResources (eBooks, eAudioBooks, eMagazines and databases which can be accessed with a regular membership).
Group and Class Visits
Book your class for a tour of the library and discover all the great, free resources and materials available and how to get started. We also offer fun programs such as themed Storytime and Puppet Shows (subject to staff availability).
Library Cards for Students
Interested in helping your students register for library cards? Print out copies of our Library Card Application Form and distribute them to your students (a parent or guardian must sign the application form for children under 13). Drop off the completed application forms at least one week prior to your visit so staff can prepare the cards. Students will be able to receive their new library cards and check out materials during their visit.
