Volunteers at the Timmins Public Library play a vital role in enhancing programs, but they do not substitute for paid staff.
The library engages various types of volunteers, including student volunteers, who have limited placements, presenters who are experts in specific topics, program assistants who help with events, advisory group members, and delivery drivers who assist homebound patrons.
If you are interested in volunteering at the library, please complete the Volunteer Application Form.
To be eligible to volunteer, individuals must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers are required to complete an application form and participate in an interview process. Additionally, volunteers over the age of 18 who will be interacting with vulnerable individuals must undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
Please note that volunteer opportunities are limited and successful applicants will only be contacted if there is an opening.
