Loans

Overdues

In an effort to reduce barriers for patrons, overdues for most collections were eliminated in January 2021 (see above table for exceptions). Users are responsible for ensuring that materials are returned on time so that they will be available to others. Unreturned items will be billed to the account after 4 weeks.

Holds

Members can reserve up to 25 items, which are held for 7 days. Holds can be placed in-person, by phone, or through our online catalogue.

Returns

Materials can be returned to either branch, with the exception of specially labeled items (such as instruments, games, puzzles, and kits) which are to be returned in person.

Damaged / Lost Items

Users are responsible for lost or damaged items. Payment and replacement guidelines can be found in our Loans Policy linked below. 

Suspension of Privilege

Borrowing is suspended for unpaid fees over $5 or for patrons banned from the library. A collection agency will be used to recover materials from adult borrowers, and from parents/ guardians responsible for their children’s cards when the amount owing is more than $100.00.

Notifications (Overdues and Holds)

Members can opt in to receive notifications via text, email, or phone regarding their holds and overdue items. Let us know your preference during your next visit.
